O super herói Homem-Aranha foi criado em 1962 pela editora de quadrinhos Marvel Comics através do editor/escritor Stan Lee e pelo escritor/artista Steve Ditko.
Desde a possibilidade de tirar o super-herói dos quadrinhos e trazer ele para uma realidade mais próxima como os vídeos-games, o personagem teve o seu primeiro jogo em 1982, no Atari. Desde então já são quase 4 décadas de evolução, que foram coletados pelo canal Game Evolutions até os dias de hoje em 2021.
